Phase II of the library renovation started this morning (Monday, February 13, 2017) and it brings more changes to the library! A construction wall is being added to the first floor of the library to enclose the renovation work. This will eventually (by mid to end of the week) close the circulation desk and first floor entrance. The emergency exit near the stairwell will become the first floor entrance. A temporary circulation desk by this stairwell will assist you with questions and with checking out books.
Access Services staff will temporarily relocate to the 4th floor of the library and provide these services:
- Cash transactions such as paying fines and adding money to your print balance
- Picking up holds and Interlibrary Loans/MeL
- Laptop Checkouts
The main circulation desk will be on the 2nd floor to assist you with course reserves and material checkout. Regular Winter Hours remain until April 28, 2017.
On the 3rd floor, the former Writing Center space is being renovated to become a new testing center. The current print and bound journals, magazines, and newspapers are still accessible at their new 3rd floor permanent location.
Phase II begins the final space renovation which is scheduled to be completed in early August 2017.
